| I'm continually working on my antennas and these photos represent the most current configuration. You might be interested in some historical photos of some antennas I've used over the years. |
This is the latest antenna project. It's a SteppIR Yagi
with the 40/30 meter driven element option and the additional 6 meter passive element.
I put this antenna up 8 years to the day after my previous one.
I replaced the old rotator with a Yeasu G-1000DXA and, of course, added the most excellent Idiom Press serial interface. A complete photo album is here: To the right of the antenna, mounted on a mast at the peak of the roof, is a dual-band J-pole antenna that the Vashon-Maury Island Radio Club used to build and sell at the local hamfests. I originally had a 75 meter inverted vee on this mast, but moved that antenna over to another mast just out of view on the left side of the photo. So now the J-pole has the honor of the mast mount. |
This is a Comet GP-6 144/440 MHz vertical mounted on the old TV antenna mast on the chimney.
The mast also supports one corner of a wire loop and an amplified digital TV broadcast receiving antenna
(the little rectangular box right below the GP-6 base).
Crossing at the top of the photo is one leg of the 75 meter inverted vee. If you look closely, you can see my (dearly departed) puppy Sachiko peeking out of the sliding door, wondering if she can come out and help me take photos. |
